Deadwood Leather out of Sweden has just arrived in-store for the first time.

Committed to providing a sustainable alternative, Deadwood Leather jackets are made using recycled materials. By sourcing vintage leather and recycling, or up-cycling, to produce their leather jackets the C02 emissions are just 5kg per jacket – compare this to 200kg when a leather jacket is produced in today’s standard mass production process and you see just how good a thing Deadwood is doing by saving and repurposing some of the huge amounts of fully functional leather that are thrown away everyday.

In the process they’re also producing some very cool looking leather goods. The Biker Jacket is their staple piece and with the addition of a few more styles, Deadwood Leather has produced a collection that celebrates the free spiritedness and ageless rebellion that goes hand in hand with motorcycle culture.

The Biker Jacket and Biker Vest are offered in both men’s and women’s styles and the River’s Edge Jacket reminds us that leather & denim were born to go hand in hand.

The Spalwart story is definitely an interesting one. Last century, as the world experienced a revolution in mass production, there were those that thrived and those that didn't.

In Eastern Europe it was inevitable that some manufacturing plants were abandoned. When a journey to Slovakia discovered long-forgotten footwear moulds and old machinery sitting idle, Spalwart was born.

Manufactured in the same plant with the same moulds and machinery used in the 1950’s these shoes are a real piece of history from a bygone era. When you hold a pair of Spalwart’s in your hand you feel like you’re holding something new and old at the same time - these shoes have real heritage and who doesn't love a little bit of heritage?

The non-perfection in each pair is actually what characterises them. Spalwart have captured this period in shoe-making history to produce some classic styles like the Special Low, the Special Mid and Special 1956 Mid.

Drawing inspiration from the islands of post-war South Pacific, Technicolour and beatnik fashion, Alexis Holm, Chief Designer at Gram, envisions “author, and Beat Generation front figure Jack Kerouac and Carolyn Cassady wearing this collection when escaping on a secret holiday”.

This season’s women’s 380g comes in a camouflage overlayed with Hawaii bauhinia flower prints and we’re big fans of the klein blue used in the blue leopard colour way. They've even created a new shoe for the ladies, the 358g – a fusion of classic Scandinavian design aesthetic and a little heel height has transformed the classic Swedish clog into a night-time companion.

As with every Gram collection these shoes are made to stand the test of time. True craftsmanship shows through in every style – from the drum dyed full grain cow leather, raw brass trims and hand-stitching through to Gram’s own brogue décor where each hole is hand-punched by skilled artisans.

Our first ever delivery from Danish brand Anerkjendt has just arrived, with their second collection in store now. A journey through the chilly Nordic summers into the warm tropics this collection mixes elements of Hawaiian patterns, tropical birds and fish, palms and leopard spots with Nordic flowers and camouflaged elements such as wood & leaves.

Aimed at easy-going guys who embrace a laid-back way of life Anerkjendt has produced a collection designed to be lived in – the Danes behind this label want you to sleep, dance, relax, jump around and do whatever you want in these clothes – us, well wearing Anerkjendt makes us feel all Hawaiian-Hunter-like. Winter may be coming but that’s no reason to stay indoors – we’re heading outdoors and going fishing. Take a look over here...

The brand’s local heritage shines through with each of the bags, wallets and clutches named after iconic landmarks around the city such as the Little Lonsdale make-up case or the Festival Hall of Dreams tote bag. Each of the pieces has a distinctly raw finish to emphasise the character of the natural materials and they’re perfectly suited to carrying books, beach towels and groceries, or for keeping your valuables in check when you’re letting loose on the dance floor.
